Our growing national distribution company located in Auburn, MA is seeking the ideal candidate to join our management team and help us continue our long track record of success.
Reporting to the President, the Controller oversees the finance and administration operations, reporting to ownership and management both formally and informally, and administering the company's contracts. Duties include but are in no way limited to:
1. Prepare and submit applicable weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to management and outside investors. Organize and present materials and Powerpoint presentations to Board of Director, sales, and other company meetings, and effectively field all relevant questions
2. Oversee operations of the finance department, including management of finance and administrative staff, payroll and HR liaison.
3. Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions
4. Recommend and implement benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the organization
5. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
6. Manage cash flow to optimally service all operational, financing, and investing obligations
7. Aid in the monitoring and maintenance of customer credit and lead A/R team to control trade receivables
8. Negotiate all customer contracts, distribution agreements, leases, and oversee bid and proposal process for all public and private contracts
9. Negotiate, monitor and maintain vendor agreements.
10. Maintain and negotiate the Company's commercial insurance policies
11. Manage all benefits, including selection of providers and brokers, negotiate all terms, and present proposals and recommendations to Board of Directors
12. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory and tax requirements
13. Establish and implement short- and long-range, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
14. Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives.
15. Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
16. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
17. Advise on acquisitions, as we regularly are evaluating new opportunities
18. Travel as necessary in order to perform/monitor year-end physical inventory counts, and to develop/foster rapport with investors, sales and operational personnel, vendors and customers.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate for this position has:
1. The perfect blend of analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or MBA
3. Experience reporting to an outside corporate parent or private equity firm
4. Accounting experience in a distribution environment, including strong inventory experience
5. Experience negotiating customer and vendor agreements, real estate and vehicle leases, and general operational management experience.
6. Ability to participate in, lead, and facilitate group meetings, including strong presentation skills
7. Experience in a supervisory accounting and team-building role
8. Excellent information technology experience and knowledge including strong Access and Excel skills as well as a history of successful implementation of ERP systems.
Expected salary is $80k-$90k (depending on experience) plus benefits.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
