Business Unit Manager

Job Description The Business Manager will lead all site operations and will have full Operational and P&L responsibility for PTG Reed, Auburn. In addition, the Business Manager will be hands on and will have responsibility for; Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Customer Service and HR with dotted line responsibility for Finance/IT and ensuring that budgets and targets are met.The Business Manager will lead all site operations and will have full Operational and P&L responsibility for PTG Reed, Auburn. In addition, the Business Manager will be hands on and will have responsibility for; Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Customer Service and HR with dotted line responsibility for Finance/IT and ensuring that budgets and targets are met. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide leadership and strategic direction at PTG Reed. Ensure the site meets all metrics; sales, fixed costs, variable cost, ESH, productivity, headcount, overtime, inventory, AR, AP and EBIT. Liaise with sales to identify sales opportunities to ensure strong manufacturing backlog for the site. Relationship building and liaison with internal/external customers, as required. Lead the development of a culture which supports process management and continuous improvement in alignment with company strategy. Ensure that working practices and operational methods are appropriate to maintain site competitiveness. Responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and standard of products is maintained. Works closely with finance to ensure reporting standards are met. Preparation and management of the operations budget to ensure maximum cost control. Leads the management team in developing and delivering business strategy and improvements. Responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations. Work actively with HR to attract, develop, retain and motivate staff. Talent management skills and abilities to identify and develop key talent and a strategically focused workforce within the manufacturing organisation. Responsible for ensuring compliance with division and corporate directives and the PCC Code of Conduct and Sarbanes and Oxley (SOX). Carrying out such other duties as may reasonably be required within the jobholder's capability consistent with the Terms and Conditions of employment. Qualifications: Degree educated or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject (Engineering or Production Management) Minimum 8-10 years post qualificationexperience in a similar role Engineering background and knowledge of engineering production methods preferred Excellent leadership qualities, positively models behavior and leads by example Successful track record with strong career progression within forward thinking organization. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
