Mechanical Gas Foreman

Coordinates and oversees the activities of assigned personnel and subcontractors engaged in the installation of a variety of piping and equipment, particularly those associated with the gas and plumbing industries.
Oversee assigned personnel and subcontractors. Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance to applicable codes and regulations. Maintain accurate time and material records.
Enforce safety regulations and follow company policy and procedures.
Preplan all work to include review of plans, specifications, equipment drawings and regulatory codes to insure efficient installation of materials and equipment.
Plan sequence of installation and adjust as needed to meet the construction schedule using knowledge of equipment to avoid obstruction and activities of other construction workers.
Work harmoniously, cooperatively and courteously with others at all times.
Maintain current plumbing license and required industry certifications. Complete all connections in strict accordance with applicable state, local and regulatory requirements.
Cut, thread, bend and assemble PVC, copper, black iron or other pipe.
Perform physically demanding work while working from ladders, scaffolds, on roofs or in trenches.
Repair and maintain gas piping, fixtures, equipment and controls.
Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
Perform miscellaneous other duties and responsibilities as required.
Must possess leadership ability necessary to lead, motivate and direct the work of subordinates.
Must have journeyman or Master's Plumbing license in Massachusetts. Additional CT license desired.
Requires high school diploma and/or additional specialized training as required for licensing. Minimum 5 years experience in trade, with preference in natural gas work.
Physically, must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; coordinate eye-hand movement; use hands and fingers fully; climb and maintain balance; see and hear well (either naturally or with correction); and stand, stoop, kneel and crouch.
Must have strong written and verbal skills and be able to prepare daily records needed in the execution of the work as well as to communicate direction and ideas to others.
Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy; follow instructions, read blueprints and make decisions based on measurable criteria.
Visualize objects in three-dimension; use logical step-by-step procedures in work; make decisions based on measurable information.
Perform duties that may change often.
Must possess a valid unrestricted Driver's License.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
